Schafer has been selected to be Shiseido’s newest beauty ambassador. While her striking good looks and statuesque frame (5’10”) graced the runways for Helmut Lang and Dior back in the days when she was modeling in New York, it’s Schafer’s work on the HBO hit series, Euphoria, that has garnered her the most attention.
The actress has received well deserved praise for her artistry in the dramatic role of Jules in the HBO hit series, Euphoria. Being transgender herself, Schafer brought authenticity to the character of the trans teen and showcased a complex range of emotions in the process. By selecting Hunter Schafer as the global ambassador for their makeup line, Shiseido makes a bold commitment to equality. “We believe that everyone is on an evolving journey and our goal in 2020 is to empower our customers by helping them push their own unique beauty further,” says Yoshiake Okabe, Shiseido’s chief brand officer.
