LOS ANGELES, CA (LA ELEMENTS) 3/2/2021 – “I am honored to represent such an iconic brand,” says actress Ana de Armas on being named Estée Lauder’s global ambassador for 2021. “Growing up in Cuba, I really admire and connect with the story of Mrs. Estée Lauder. She understood that you have to work hard to turn your dreams into reality. Everything she did was inspiring then and continues to be inspiring today. I am proud to become part of that legacy and share her story.”
Estée Lauder launched her eponymous company back in 1946 along with husband and business partner, Joseph Lauder. The brand today honors her standing as one of the world’s first female entrepreneurs and continues her legacy of creating high performance skincare and makeup products and memorable fragrances. Just as noteworthy is the Estée Lauder Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Daughter-in-law Evelyn Lauder, who co-created with SELF magazine the movement’s world renowned pink ribbon, launched this charitable foundation back in 1992. Since then, the foundation has raised millions of dollars towards the education, awareness and medical research of breast cancer.

de Armas’ will introduce the newest fragrance from Estée Lauder later on this month. In doing so, she joins the current roster of Estée Lauder global talent that includes Anok Yai, Bianca Brandolini d’Adda, Carolyn Murphy, Diana Penty, Grace Elizabeth, Karlie Kloss and Yang Mi.
The Golden Globe nominated actress also has a number of films scheduled for release this year. One of the most highly anticipated is the upcoming James Bond film, No Time To Die, where she will reunite with her Knives Out co-star Daniel Craig.
