LOS ANGELES, CA (LA ELEMENTS) 3/8/205 – The Academy Awards typically mark the end of awards season for motion picture. Is it any wonder then that the pre-Oscars celebrations in Hollywood tend to be among the most exclusive? Celebrations such as the 2025 DPA Diamond Lounge. Held at the Luxe Sunset Boulevard Hotel “at the crossroads of Brentwood and Bel Aire” on February 28 and March 1, this industry event hosted a slew of Oscar nominees including:  Adam Elliot (Writer/Producer/Director Best Animated Feature Film, Memoir of a Snail), Alex David (Best Original Screenplay, September 5), Bill Morrison (Best Documentary Short Film, Incident), Brian Young (Producer Best Motion Picture of the Year, The Brutalist), Emily Kassie (Director Best Documentary Feature, Sugarcane), Eric Nyari (Producer Best Documentary Feature Film, Black Box Diaries, Producer Best Documentary Short Film, Instruments of a Beating Heart), John Powell (Composer Best Original Score, Wicked) and Oscar winner Henry Gillet (Co-producer of Best Live Action Short Film, I’m Not A Robot.)

A number of outstanding brands were present to gift Oscar nominees at the DPA Diamond Lounge. Here are some of our favorites:

Soubou  This was a gift lounge within a gift lounge. Artisans from Japan enchanted and bestowed celebrity guests and media with selections from their work. Taihei Tsunekawa, the representative from Takaokaya Tsunekawa Tatami Shop, gifted tatami mats crafted from the Japanese soft rush grass, Igusa. These mats have a history as prior to the 17th century in Japan, only nobles and samurai could sleep on tatami mats. The visual beauty of Pele Malie flowers, left a lasting impression on celebrity guests as did the ceramic pieces from Maruta Shoten .

Yacht Club Access “All of our products are made from sustainable fabrics,” says CEO Natasha Simmons of her luxury resort and active wear collection.  “Everybody wants to live the luxury lifestyle. I myself used to be a model and an actress and I dated two guys who owned yachts, so I was already a part of yacht life. So of course, I came up with Yacht Club as the name for my line. But then when I went to the USPTO, I’m like, ‘ok, this isn’t going to work. I need to add another name.’  I thought to myself, once I curate this brand what do I want to do with it? And I said to myself, ‘I want to give people the access that I’m afforded to have.’ So, through our Yacht Club Passport to Entrepreneurship Program, we mentor other young adults about entrepreneurship in the fashion industry. And that is our way of giving others the access into the lifestyle that we live.”

This Girl Walks Into A Bar “We started a bartending service company all over southern California and a couple other states, and that was where this mixer line was born,” says Jocelyn Dunn. Dunn founded the line of organic mixers with her sister Jordan Catapano. We had the chance to try out their Bloody Mary Mix and it was everything you would want a savory cocktail to be. An added bonus:  10% of sales from their trio of mixers will be donated to Project Hope and the LAFD Foundation through April 1.

“The Madeca Cream is kind of like a household name in Korea. In fact, 40 percent of the households have this cream in their home,” says Elizabeth, assistant to the brand rep. “This is an overall great cream for hands, neck, decolletage, face. It’s very hydrating, moisturizing, great for fine lines and wrinkles.” Nominees received a gift bag filled with Madeca Derma products.

Honorée Treadwell and Emmy-winning actor, Terrence Terrell (Giants), were on hand to gift bottles of Liquid Gold Firming Serum from their skincare line, Body Sauce Collection. Completely cruelty-free, Treadwell and Terrell went the Paul Mitchell route and rather than test on animals, tested on themselves. Harnessing the power of botanicals and fused with antioxidants, this serum gave a subtle but noticeable improvement to the appearance of our skin almost immediately. With continued use, even more dramatic results are promised. And for an added bonus, we are loving how this serum is making our skin feel incredibly soft.

Let’s face it. While awards season is exciting, it can be stressful as well. Wouldn’t a dream getaway be great just about now? Luckily, Oscar nominees were gifted a luxury travel gift package to the five star Le Taha’a by Pearl Resorts in French Polynesia. This resort not only features beautiful beaches, but spacious overwater bungalows as well.
