LOS ANGELES, CA (LA ELEMENTS) 10/9/2021 – “When I think of the Self-Portrait woman, I never have just one person in mind – for me, the joy of what I do comes from designing for women with different personalities, different attitudes, and different ways of living their lives,” says Han Chong, Self-Portrait Founder and Creative Director. “I wanted to celebrate this spirit with my new collection and wanted to present the different facets of the Self-Portrait woman with a series of images of Bella Hadid transforming into varying sides of her character.”
British fashion house, Self-Portrait, revealed memorable looks from their Spring/Summer 2022 collection on the final day of London Fashion Week.
British photographer Harley Weir shot an array of images documenting the different sides to Bella Hadid, and showcasing the many facets of the Self-Portrait woman in the process. Stylist Hayley Wollens collaborated with make-up artist Sam Viser and hair stylist Jawara Wauchope for this preview of Self-Portrait’s latest collection with art direction by Lina Kutsovskaya.
The Spring/Summer collection of Self-Portrait’s Founder and Creative Director, Han Chong, features rich colors, new silhouettes and a blend of softened textures. The inspiration for the latest Self-Portrait collection was the transition into the outside world. “After what feels like a lifetime spent indoors, I was inspired to design a modern approach to dressing – strong, feminine styles, but always soft and relaxed at the same time. This collection is a love letter to the Self-Portrait woman – one who is free to face the world and feel like herself in all her different guises and have fun again.”
Harley Weir has also captured Bella Hadid for the brand’s Spring/Summer campaign which will be released in its entirety in January 2022.
