ANNE KLEIN TAPS GINA RODRIGUEZ FOR FALL/HOLLIDAY 2022 COLLECTION

Actress Gina Rodriguez models the winning t-shirt design by Valeria Nicole for Anne Klein’s Scholar Design Competition which benefits the Fashion Scholarship Fund (FSF). The commemorative tee will be on sale at anneklein.com and macys.com.

 

LOS ANGELES, CA (LA ELEMENTS) 9/7/2022 – “I am thrilled to join forces with the team at Anne Klein and to support their efforts to make an impact for future communities of women,” says actress Golden Globe winning actress, Gina Rodriguez.  “I feel blessed to be in a position to help champion the voices and art of the Latinx community and partner with like-minded brands that can bring real change.”

Los Angeles might be dealing with a record-setting heatwave, but fashion is always forward.  And in that spirit, the House of Anne Klein is ready to launch their Fall/Holiday 2022 collection in the September issue of Harper’s Bazaar, with Rodriguez as the face of their latest campaign.

Best known for the titular role of Jane in Jane the Virgin, Rodriguez has also starred in multiple feature films such as Deepwater Horizon and Miss Bala.  She was also the voice of Carmen Sandiego in the Netflix animated series of the same name.

But it wasn’t just starring roles that brought the actress to the attention of the Anne Klein team.  Rather, it was her dedication to philanthropy as well as female empowerment.  Rodriguez founded and chairs the We Will Foundation, which serves to empower Hispanic youth through arts and education and has been an advocate for Latinas in executive roles in Hollywood productions.

Award winning photographer Mark Seliger shot the Anne Klein campaign in New York City.  The Fall collection will be available at Macy’s, Dillard’s Belk, as well as online at Nordstrom, Amazon and Anne Klein.

Anne Klein supports the Fashion Scholarship Fund through its sponsorship of the Anne Klein Scholar Design Competition.  And this year, Rodriguez will model the winning t-shirt design by Valeria Nicole, FSF Scholar, SCAD graduate and native of Puerto Rico.  The commemorative t-shirt will be on sale at Macy’s and AnnKlein.com.
