LOS ANGELES, CA (LA ELEMENTS) 10/05/2024 – “We are pleased to continue our ongoing partnership with Billboard Latin Music Week and present BMI’s How I Wrote that Song panel says BMI’s VP of Creative, Latin, Jesus Gonzalez. “The conversation will focus on the creative brilliance of a diverse group of artists and producers who are pushing boundaries and redefining Latin music across various genres. Their fresh perspectives and groundbreaking work are setting new trends in the industry, and we’re excited to bring their stories and expertise to the forefront.”

The artists featured on the Urban and Música Mexicana Edition of How I Wrote that Song will be singer-songwriter Armenta, producer Caleb Calloway, urban-alt rapper Álvaro Diaz, singer-songwriter Alexis Fierro “Chachito,” and producer Albert Hype.

Armenta Originally from Mexico, he is best known for hists like, “Me Tocó Morir,” “Prefiero Empedarme,” “TQM,” and “Bebe Dame.” Through his collaborations with artists like Peso Pluma and Fuerza Regida, he has captured the attention of a world-wide audience.

Alvaro Diaz This Puerto Rican recording artist released a debut album, Felicilandia  that has earned multiple diamond and platinum certifications. He released his sophomore album Sayonara earlier this year and has written songs for some of the biggest names in Latin music including Karol G and Rauw Alegandro. His music has over 650 million global streams and he will be performing in the U.S. and Latin America this fall.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Caleb Calloway is a prominent producer in Latin Music. This Latin Grammy nominee (“Dharma”) is set to release his album Hayabusa following collaborations with stars like Bad Bunny, Rauw Alejandro and Young Miko, among others.

Alexis Fierro “Chachito” Hailing from Mexico, this songwriter has created hits for artists like Oscar Maydon, Peso Pluma, Junior H, Natanael Cano and Gabito Ballesteros. His hit song, “Fin de Semana” has nearly eight hundred million streams. Chachito composes for rising stars while also managing and guiding the careers talent.

Albert Hype Born in Miami with roots in Puerto Rico and Cuba, the two-time Latin GRAMMY nominated producer has worked with musical icons Shakira and Bad Bunny. His work on the international hit, “Telepatia” by Kali Uchis reached the number 10 spot on Billboard’s Top 200 Global Chart. Hype has also produced multiple chart-topping tracks for Rauw Alejandro and Selena Gomez, who calls Los Angeles her home.

The panel will be held at the Fillmore in Miami Beach on October 15, 2024.
