BEVERLY HILLS, CA (LA ELEMENTS) 1/15/2019 – “Our values are a commitment to quality, passion and innovation while having fun,” says Alena Lehrer founder of Geek Eyewear.  Geek Eyewear is dedicated to creating trendy and sleek prescription eyewear. The company gifted attendees glasses from their vast and fashionable collection and is redefining the prescription eyewear market by adding elements of style, creativity, and individuality.

Trendy eyewear was not the only thing that stars took  home with them from the DPA 2019 Golden Globes Gift Lounge. Everything from gourmet bites and beverages, jewelry, to chic and modern millinery creations and more were gifted to celebrities and select members of the media at DPA’s event.  This exclusive event was held on January 4 and 5 at the extravagant hotel, Luxe Sunset Boulevard.  Among the outstanding gift sponsors were the following:

“The artistry of Jacqueline Michie is grounded in the experimental use of shape and color and a keen understanding of how personal style elevates every aspect of life,” says Jacqueline Michie, the creative mastermind behind the Northern California based millinery company. Miche’s designs are unique and eye catching that come from years of hard work and apprenticeships at some of the world’s finest millinery studios, including Philip Treacy of London and Anya Caliendo of New York. Miche describes her creations as, “expressions of joy: bold and versatile, worldly and fun, fashion forward and every day.”

Attendees were also given delicious gourmet nibbles while in the gifting lounge. Vegaron, the macaron for everyone created by healthy lifestyle enthusiast Shera Fournier was one of the delicious bites being served. “From the beginning our intention has been to make it a possibility for vegans and non-vegans alike to enjoy macarons,” says Fournier. These macarons are made with freshest of ingredients, so taste is never sacrificed. Appletinies were also available for attendees to snack on. Appletinies are tiny and tasty treats from Austria that are dry organic apples covered with organic chocolate in different flavors. Twinkle Brown Sugar provided fruit tea drink blends that were equally delicious and refreshing. San Diego based Viva Pops satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth with their delectable gourmet ice cream pops. Viva Pops had wide variety of options from dairy free, vegan, and regular selections.

Philanthropy was also a key component in DPA gift lounge, and this year’s Golden Globe gifting suite featured Save the Children, and Girls Pact. Save the Children is a nonprofit that for the past 100 years has been giving children In the U.S. and around the world a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. They aim to do whatever it takes to save children, transforming their lives and futures. Girls Pact is a Los Angeles based nonprofit that combats unplanned pregnancy among young women ages 15-24 by revealing the power of self-confidence. They help young people in communities burdened by unhealthy relationships by giving them the tools to make healthy decisions to reduce the risk of unintended pregnancy, and to achieve personal goals without any interference. “I strive to stimulate and strengthen critical thinking. More specifically, I hope that every young person claims their self-worth and learns to make educated, informed decisions with conviction,” says Michelle Shegda, Executive Director of Girls Pact.
