LOS ANGELES, CA (LA ELEMENTS) 9/15/2022 – “Our workshops are left open, and the veterans come in whenever they feel like they need to get out of their heads and create when they’re having issues, and that is how we run our company,” says 27-year police officer veteran Paulena Gidda who is also the CEO and Founder of Bullets N Beads. Bullets N Beads is a veteran owned and operated jewelry company that repurposes previously fired bullets and bullet casings to create one of kind, handmade jewelry pieces that are truly a work of art. “Everyone in my family is either a police officer or military in some capacity going back generations. We started out giving up to ten percent- now we are up to thirty-five percent, of everything we make goes back to support veterans and first responders dealing with the effects of PTSD.   Whether that is through wounded warriors, BC legions, getting PTSD dogs for veterans that need it, suicide help lines, and essentially wherever the need is required, Bullets N Beads will give back to.”

The lovely Luxe Hotel was the backdrop for DPA’s 2022 Pre-Emmy’s Gift Suite, which was held on September 10th and 11th. Fallen Stars gifted guests necklaces with these rare hand wired diamonds. “When I have these on a little poster and you start staring at them for a little while, you start feeling these amazing feelings of goodness,” says Alexis Pauling, founder of Claymonics.  “It’s really strange.  I’m not the only one that happens to. I didn’t say anything to anyone about it, but they started telling me about it.”  Claymonics are name and word patterns that are transformed into geometric pattern images. “I wanted to draw with color, so I started trying to learn Adobe and all these different things and I found an app that did patterns, but it was not meant to do what I was doing. I just kind of stumbled and wondered what if I try this because you can handwrite on it.  When I did that, it was these amazing patterns once I changed it to geometric patterns. It was insane, but you can’t replicate no matter how hard I try its always a different pattern.” Claymonics is an intuitive and mathematical art intended to invoke feelings of positivity. Attendees were each gifted activewear such as leggings with the unique geometric patterns.

The company also offers custom made pieces. They gifted guests beautiful statement earrings. “We wanted to bring colors that usually people like obviously black is a very popular color, and blue you can easily mix it and make it classy or casual with jeans. The idea was monochrome and pops of color,” says Véronique Thibeault designer and co-owner of the brand.
