LOS ANGELES. CA (LA ELEMENTS) 9/10/18 – “We wondered why in the world should great facials only be affordable by the top one percent,” says Face Haus co-founder Karey Burke. “Why can’t we democratize skincare for everyone, men, women, teens, kids and start to teach people at an early age how to take care of their face? So we dreamed up Face Haus as a way to revolutionize the skincare business and change the way that people thought about taking care of their face.”
Burke made her remarks before a gathering of media at a private dinner introducing Face Haus at Faith and Flower restaurant on August 15, 2018. Attendees at this event received their first intro to the beauty spa designed to make facials more affordable without sacrificing quality. Burke, along with Jenn Worley and Dawn Olmstead, founded Face Haus back in 2012. Because none of the founders originally had any experience in the field of dermatology, (Burke is an executive at Freeform, Olmstead is Co-President of Universal Cable Productions, and Worley was an executive with Radar Pictures) they needed someone who did to make sure that treatments would safely address a variety of skin cares needs. Burke revealed that signing on as consulting physician was none other than Dr. Harold Lancer. Lancer fulfills the dermatology needs of some of the most high-profile women in the world. His clients include Oprah Winfrey and Victoria Beckham. Face Haus offers an array of treatments to address all skin concerns at an affordable price. Their treatment for toning and tightening utilizes the same Lightstim LED machine that is found in spas charging much more than Face Haus. Attendees at this event received gift bags filled with skincare products as well as an invitation to the grand opening of their USC Village location, which was held the following Saturday.
Saturday’s grand opening at USC Village brought out Nick Viall, former The Bachelor and Dancing With The Stars cast member, and members of the USC Song Girls. The Face Haus co-founders, Jenn Worley and Karey Burke, were also on hand to host the opening day festivities. Media covering the event as well as USC students preparing for their first week of classes were among the guests. All in attendance were treated to complimentary lip and eye facial treatments in a modern, open design venue (no dark, isolated rooms at Face Haus) and pizza from USC’s favorite pizza joint, Rances Pizza Chicago.
Co-founder Jennifer Worley commented on what she honestly feels sets Face Haus apart from the other competitors and here is what she had to say:
“What truly sets us apart from our competitors is our open concept, our accessibility and our affordability,” says Worley. “All without compromising in quality of services. We are extremely invested in innovation and are backed by consulting dermatology legend Dr. Harold Lancer. Our products and services are on par with the highest priced spas at roughly a third the price. Our open concept also creates a space, a new model that now shifts the traditional spa facial experience, to one that is social, lively and feels great to be in. You will never hear whale sounds or elevator tunes. We have great music and you can come with friends, host parties and not be isolated in a private room.”
We had the chance to try out the services of Face Haus to see for ourselves what they had to offer. All-in all, this was quite the treat!
From the kind and sincere greeting upon our arrival, to the use of some of the most acclaimed beauty products as part of our facial, to the in depth knowledge of our esthetician Tiffany, we knew were in good hands and we do mean that literally.
Face Haus offers a full menu of services to address every facial need. From their selection of signature facials we chose Keep Glowing which works to not only exfoliate, but hydrate the skin. If your skin constantly suffers from dryness, then this is your new go-to facial. We then added several boost treatments targeting specific areas of the face including the Eye-Rise and Lip, Laugh, Love. We also indulged in the Beam Me Up (LED) which not only leaves skin free from bacteria, but promotes collage growth too! Although Face Haus is dedicated to affordable skincare, they go all out in terms of the products that they use which rank as some of the most elite. The Eminence Organics Skin Care line is a favorite of stars such as Cameron Diaz and Ditta Von Tiese. Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex recently raved about their products. We loved the silky texture of the Bamboo Firming Fluid, Bamboo Age Corrective Masque, Coconut Milk Cleanser, and Soothing Chamomile Tonique that was used in our facial. Face Haus also turns to the vegan and cruelty-free skincare line, Hylunia, in their skincare treatments. From the Hyaluronic Oil Free Moisturizer to the Colloidal Silver Mist which gently but effectively kills bacteria, it’s obvious that Face Haus believes that facials shouldn’t be just about looking great but about obtaining healthier skin as well. We loved how our face not only felt softer, but looked softer too. Including those pesky lines. Would we go back for more? Yes!
