Beverly Hills, CA (LA ELEMENTS) 01/12/18- “We want our bags to be treasured and passed down for generations. As the bags age over time, the leather gets softer, more supple, but like the rich colors, the love for these bags will never fade,” says husband and wife duo, Taylor and Christie Cook, who are the founders of the Australian luxury handbag brand, Avery Verse.  Avery Verse designs are hand-crafted using Italian leather.  This is a company that very much believes in giving back to the community as a percentage of sales are donated to water.org. Water.org works to provide water sanitation and access to developing communities.

Luxury leather handbags were not the only things stars got to take home with them at the GBK 2018 Golden Globes Gift Lounge. Everything from handcrafted jewelry, acclaimed skincare, to popular makeup, and more were gifted to celebrities and select members of the media at GBK’s exclusive event which was held on January 5 and 6 in Beverly Hills at the opulent hotel, The Montage Beverly Hills.

Too Faced Cosmetics, a popular makeup industry staple known for their fun approach to beauty, recently launched their Chocolate Gold Collection. The company gifted attendees items from the collection including the Chocolate Gold Bar Palette, Chocolate Gold Soleil Bronzer, and the Melted Gold liquid Lipstick. Too Faced also gifted stars their Better Than Sex Mascara, which is the brand’s #1 prestige selling mascara in the U.S.  “The Chocolate Gold Collection not only looks good with its rich colors and sparkle, but Too Faced took the decadence with this collection to the next level by infusing real gold and cocoa powder into the products,” says Too Faced PR representative Jacqueline Baetiong.

The gold infused gifts didn’t stop with Too Faced Cosmetics.  Celebrities were gifted the 24K Edition sparkling wine from Blue Nun. This family owned winery located in the Mosel region of Germany is not only sweet and refreshing, but contains actual 24k gold flakes.

Philanthropy is always a key component in GBK events, and this year’s Golden Globe gifting suite featured Food on Foot, and the Heroes Wanted book.

Food on Foot is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the poor and homeless of Los Angeles. They do so through programs that provide nutritious meals, clothing, work opportunities that lead to full time employment and life off the streets.  “Food on Foot doesn’t accept government funding, and it’s through volunteer support we are able to to fund our Work for Food program,” says Rachel Rebel, Office and Volunteer Manager of Food on Foot.  “The homeless people who take part in our program earn their way off the streets with full time employment, housing, and life skills education. Our main goal is to empower these individuals and give them the confidence to change their lives for the better.”

Executive Director of the Chick-fil-A Foundation, Rodney D. Bullard new book Heroes Wanted shares inspiring stories with readers that help empower them to show compassion, have courage, make brave choices, and give hope to those that need it. Bullard drives home the idea that anyone can be a hero and make a difference, because all it requires is to give of yourself and serve those around you.
