Art Hearts Fashion Presents Mythos & Goddesses by Sue Wong at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood

Hollywood, CA (LA Elements) 3/31/2015- “It was excellent, wonderful and I say all the best to the Goddess of Love,” says British rock musician Steve Cooke of night one of LA Fashion Week, which was opened by Sue Wong.

Wong unveiled her fall collection Mythos & Goddesses on March 9, 2015 in a show presented by Art Hearts Fashion at the Taglyan Complex in Hollywood. British soprano Summer Watson provided a mesmerizing prelude to this event with her performance of   Beethoven’s Mal Di Luna before a capacity crowd.

It was Pele, the Hawaiian Goddess of Fire, who inspired the first set of designs to hit the runway from a collection influenced entirely by goddesses. All of the gowns were full length and expressed the richest, deepest hues of red. Differences lay in structure as usage of strategically placed illusion, trains, a mandarin collar, all added range to these dresses.

Champagne was the color most prominently featured in the ensemble of gowns inspired by Helen of Troy. Glittering beadwork and an assortment of embroidery styles were among the outstanding details.

Although Mythos & Goddesses featured mostly full-length gowns, inspiration from Athena, the Greek Goddess of Wisdom saw a bold departure from that style with a wide selection of knee and above the knee length dresses.

Closing Mythos & Goddesses were designs inspired by Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of Love. This collective of brilliant white gowns detailed with elaborate crystal beading, (and in one design, feathers) provided an effect that was powerful and dramatic. Much like the standing ovation given to Mythos & Goddesses during the finale.
