LOS ANGELES, CA (LA ELEMENTS) 1/10/2024 – “I make champagne with honey instead of grapes,” says Dale Pearson, whose Pearson Brothers Winery created Saccharro, a new class of wine. And from Saccharro, Perduret, their refreshing and innovative honey-based champagne was born.

The taste of champagne from honey? Believe it. After trying a glass for ourselves, we could have sworn that it was the real deal. It’s that good.  What kind of alchemy goes into Perduret that makes it so surprisingly good? “We have the bees fly into the forest, harvest the wildflower honey, and bring it back. Then we mix the honey with water from the well and add some orange zest, nutrients. Basically, we replicate grape juice from that process. Then we ferment that so we can make wine and champagne from the forest instead of cutting down the forest and having to plant and grow grapes. So, you can create a commercial product from nature without destroying it. It’s healthier and it’s the most sustainable winery in the world.”

Perduret was just one of the celebrity crowd-pleasing gift vendors at the DPA pre-Golden Globes Gift lounge that was held on January 5 and 6 at the Luxe Hotel Sunset in Los Angeles. The Golden Globes typically kicks off the official industry awards season and in that spirit, the atmosphere at this invitation only event was especially festive.  Among the nominees and talent from nominated productions celebrating at DPA were the following: Alma Pöysti (Nominee for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, Fallen Leaves), Bertie Ellwood (Director from nominated series Lessons in Chemistry), Brady Hepner (Actor from The Holdovers nominated for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy), Cassondra Blair (Actress from Jury Duty, nominated for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy), Erika Alexander (Actress from American Fiction, nominated for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy), Janae Colllins and Jillian Dion, (Actresses from Killers of the Flower Moon, nominated for Best Motion Picture, Drama), Jennifer Kumiyama (Singer/Voice Actress from Wish, nominated for Best Motion Picture, Animated), John Hoffman (producer for Only Murders in the Building, nominated for Best Television Series, Musical or Comedy) Michael Jelenic and Aaron Horvath songwriters of “Peaches” from The Super Mario Brothers Movie Best Original Song Motion Picture ) Justin Tan (Actor from Abbot Elementary, Best TV Series Musical or Comedy) and Lee Broda (Producer for May December, nominated for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy)

To celebrate, this gift lounge offered notable selections of luxury travel packages, accessories and more.

Cruelty-free beauty is the best kind. So we were thrilled to meet Alisha Anderson, founder of Dioné Cosmetics. “I started in 2012,” says Anderson, “For the most part, my line is vegan. However, there is beeswax in some of my products. It’s completely cruelty-free though, I’m certified cruelty free.” Guests at the DPA Pre-Golden Globes Gift suite received selections from Anderson’s cosmetic line.

Can you smell what the Fresh Chefs of Bel-Air are cooking? Chefs Daniel and Rocky Breiz are the proprietors of Brique French Toastery. Their gift for this special event was a curated box of incredibly thick and soft French toast accompanied with servings of maple peanut butter syrup, coconut shavings and whipped cream.

Chef Rocky: “This is something that I make for my family. Then it became popular because I am Dwayne Johnson’s personal chef, and this is his favorite cheat meal that I created for him.”

Chef Daniel “If you ever see the French toast he eats, this is the one.

Chef Rocky “He eats this every weekend.”

Seriously, this is the treat we didn’t know we wanted. And needed.

Hide & Stone Jewelry owner and founder Jennifer Cervantes delighted guests with jewelry from her collection. So, if someone is looking for courage or needed to find balance, we always focused on what that person needed.” We received a beautiful Amethyst bracelet. A jewelry piece representing wisdom according to Cervantes.

Luxury travel is always a staple of any DPA gift lounge. For this year’s Golden Globes, DPA offered two dream getaways.  Le Taha’a Island Resort and Spa and The Greenhouse. Le Taha’a Island Resort and Spa in Tahiti, is a five star destination offering luxurious spa treatments, fine dining and breath taking views. The Greenhouse Hotel offers stylish rooms with an emphasis on sustainability. Dining, entertainment and exploring the natural beauty of Iceland with its glaciers and black sand beaches promise a getaway to remember.

With so many Golden Globe events in LA, hydration is a must. Maybe that’s why the Glow Beverages display at the DPA gift lounge was a mandatory stop for so many VIP guests. Glow is formulated not only to hydrate but to detoxify the body of free radicals. The selection of flavors included Mango Apricot, Cherry Lime, Spicy Watermelon, Ginger Lemon, Pineapple Blood Orange, and Tiger’s Blood.  Guests received gift boxes of each flavor.

There are chips and then there are chips. A special shoutout goes to Food Should Taste Good Multigrain Tortilla Chips that were among the snack offerings at this event.  Gluten-free, cholesterol-free, vegan and incredibly habit forming.
