LOS ANGELES, CA (LA ELEMENTS) – 5/5/2024 “I always focus on making my collections as timeless as possible, focusing on customizable details and decisive cuts,” says fashion designer Rok Hwang, creative director of ROKH. “To see my clothes being worn in brilliantly unique ways I never imagined while I was designing them, is one of my greatest pleasures. I can’t wait to see how customers engage with this fun and dynamic collection for H&M.”

The award-winning Korean designer (2018 LVMH Special Prize) has worked for the legendary fashion house Céline under Phoebe Philo. Now, he has teamed up with H&M for a much-anticipated collaboration. Hwang’s exacting eye for cut and proportion give a unique flair to a roster of archetypal pieces. The collection promotes deconstructed workwear icons and delivers adaptable designs that encourage personal expression. This line includes womenswear, menswear and accessories. All eyes will no doubt be on the trenches. Rokh is known for putting an edgy spin to the classic trench coat.

H&M’s collaboration with a designer of the status of Hwang is an especially coveted one for the fast fashion brand:  Bella Hadid and actress Sydney Sweeney are just a few of the luminaries who have been photographed in Rokh. And as Ann-Sofie Johansson, Creative Advisor and Head of Design Womenswear notes, “Rok Hwang has quickly established a strong identity for Rokh, winning fans for his ingenious tailoring and flattering dresses with offbeat silhouettes. We’re excited to bring his work to a wider audience with this wonderfully inventive collection.”
