LOS ANGELES, CA (LA ELEMENTS) 4/8/2018 – “We have a team of people who test all the sheet masks that we source from Korea to make sure that they’re good for all skin types,” says FaceTory co-founder and COO Chan Ho Park. “Obviously, we try to stay away from any unusual or animal based ingredients and try to be organic and natural as much as possible.”

FaceTory threw their first ever official party on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at Opulen Studios in downtown LA. The invitation only event drew a number of high profile beauty and lifestyle influencers including Remi Cruz, Barbie Beth and Jen McAllister.

The fun factor was in full force at this event. Attendees enjoyed a live dance performance, great music, a selection of refreshments that whimsically included cotton candy, as well as drinks by Electric Sky Wine and Pressed Juicery.   Each guest went home with two gift boxes.  One from Thoughtfully, and the other, a FaceTory beauty box filled with sheet masks tailored to the skincare needs of each individual party guest.

What is sheet masking? Sheet masking is the application of a fine cotton sheet infused with vitamins, and other substances over your face with the purpose of making your skin look its best. It is a beauty “trend” that has been around for a few years and sorry, not sorry, is here to stay. FaceTory offers a great selection of sheet masks designed to address a variety of skin concerns such as fine lines and uneven skin tone among many others. Reasonably priced, Factory offers the chance to have their sheet masks delivered straight to your door through their subscription service.

We had the chance to speak with FaceTory founders Chan Ho Park and Sang Lee at their party to learn more about what sets their sheet masks apart from the rest.

When was this company founded?

Park: “This company was founded back in October of 2016”.

What was your philosophy going into this?

Park: “Well sheet masking is something that’s very popular. It’s been going on in Asia for many years. It’s very new in the US. We saw an up and coming trend in the market. We wanted to make it fun and affordable for people who are new to sheet masking, that way they can also experience and benefit from the sheetmasking.”

Tell me about the ingredients in your mask. I would especially like to know more about your gold-infused masks.

Lee: “Gold has been known for being good for your skin. In China and Korea many ladies have been using gold to improve their skin condition. So, we found many brands in Korea that were making sheet masks with gold material in it and we brought the products.”

Well, I love this event, it’s fun, and it’s very happening.

Park: “This is our first ever Facetory party. This is invitation only. 90 percent of attendees from today’s event are influencers actually. Influencers who have been helping us grow this business from day one. Who have believed in our business from day one. So this is kind of like us showing our appreciation.”
