LOS ANGELES, CA (LA ELEMENTS) 11/23/2022 – IATSE local 706, the union representing makeup artists and hairstylists, honored the best in their profession at the annual Makeup Artists and Hair Stylists Awards.  Marking this special event was a gifting suite held on Saturday, November 5 at the The Room in the Beverly Center.  In the spotlight were a collection of contemporary beauty brands.  And any beauty brand featured at an event hosted by the top make-up artists and hair stylists in the business, is worth checking out.  Among the standouts were the following:

Le Mieuxe products at the MUAHS gifting suite.

“Basically, I entered into skincare because I wanted to disrupt the whole space,” says Janel Luu, CEO and founder of Le Mieux.  “A lot of the skincare products are quite diluted with a lot of water.  And a lot of the brands use white label or contract manufacturing.  So, they don’t really own the formula itself.”

“We have our own laboratory in San Francisco, we manufacture, we also make our own molecule which is like a big disruptor in the space.  I learn every day.  I have these amazing brilliant scientists who work with me.  They are university professors, and they are just passionate about molecule science.”

“Le Mieux means ‘the best’ in French so that was my benchmark.  And we are one of the first companies to experiment.  Even when hyaluronic acid was introduced, we started layering with three, five seven, nine, ten different types of hyaluronic to make an impact in your skin cell.”

“A lot of consumers are extremely confused.  Because there’s so many products and you just feel like, ‘How do I know what works for me?  How do I know what’s better?’  So really, we look, and we examine what is contained within your own skin cells and then how do we emulate that using topical product.  It’s just really amazing.  That’s really our benchmark and the closer we get; the results are quite phenomenal.”

“We introduced the oxygen machine because it is really a way you can customize.  Because skin needs changes.  Every season, every environment change, if you move to another city, your skin goes through a lot of changes.  You have 19,500,000 cells in every square inch of your skin.  So how do you saturate it?  How do you create a moisture blanket?  And at the end, how do you slow down aging.  That’s the key.”

Le Mieux gave away gift bags filled with their products.  Guests received the following:

Iso-Rose Hydrating Mist Beautifully scented with Bulgarian rose and powered by the stem cells of the Alpine rose, provides sweet relief for inflamed skin.

Stemcell EGF   These ampules promise to amp up your skin game by targeting the facial lines and loss of elasticity that comes with age and exposure to the environment.  While serums can be a little irritating to sensitive skin, this one isn’t.  In fact we love that it’s actually moisturizing.

TGIF-8 Booster   Nicknamed “The Collagen Kickstart,” Le Mieux uses their own hyaluronic acid formulation to create a serum that works to do what we all want it to do:  give us younger looking skin by erasing lines and softening wrinkles
